ANYTHING GOES, Naples Dinner Theatre Jan. 2005.

This multi-scene unit sat on a chain drive turntable.  There was a main deck for the large production numbers and a second configuration for the state rooms and the brig.  The unique hover “push out” stage at this theatre which is usually challenging to design around was actually used during the production as a special effect.  In the second scene of the first act when we see the ship for the first time, the stage was pushed out, providing the illusion of a ship pulling into dock.  With some sound effects and a fog machine pumping fog out of a forced perspective smoke stack, the effect was very exciting.  Above are some production photos, courtesy of the Naples Dinner Theatre, and some detail photos of the scenery.
