THE FANTASTICKS (2004)  Naples Dinner Theatre, Naples, FL

This was a very simple set with a platform system with several stairs and a rake.  There was a trunk (a mandate in the script) that had a trap door below to allow the actors to appear from “inside” the trunk.  The band sat slightly visible behind a large circular opening masked by gauze that behaved much like a cyc.  It very simply showed the changing of the seasons by adjusting the color.
